I have been married since 1981 to my best friend, who is the mother of our three beautiful children. She has been a fantastic support to me, especially while I was in law school. All three of our children were born while I was in law school from 1989 to 1993. While I was in law school I continued to run and operate my business. So for those four years, I was going to law school, running my own business, and becoming the father of three children. One of my proudest achievements was being Valedictorian of my Law School class
I have been practicing law since 1993. Prior to that, from 1980-93 I was the owner and manager of a multi-state company, that at various times had operations in Virginia, Texas and California.
After graduating from Lincoln Law School, I sold off my business and opened up my own law practice immediately. From the start, my main emphasis in practice was in family law and juvenile delinquency matters, with more than 80% of my cases being in these areas.
In the family law arena, I have a great deal of experience in custody and visitation issues, child support, temporary and permanent spousal support; valuation and division of personal and real property, including pension and retirement plan divisions, Pereira and Van Camp valuations of community property interests in separate property businesses; and the use of economic experts for forensic cash flow and business value evaluations.
About 1998 or so, I begin handling other legal issues concerning families, such as guardianships, conservatorships, and probating decedent’s estates. I am on the court approved list for Minor’s Counsel in Sacramento County, as well as for court appointed probate attorneys.
When not practicing law, I spend the vast majority of my time with my family and at my church. I have been a Christian since 1980. My relationship to Jesus Christ is the most important thing in my life.
